What is INDYCAR?
INDYCAR is the sanctioning body for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and INDY NXT by Firestone. The NTT INDYCAR SERIES is North America's premier open-wheel series with athletes representing over 11 different countries around the world. The diverse schedule is made up of superspeedways, short ovals, road courses, and street courses that put athletes' physical and mental strength to the test.
What are the different types of courses in INDYCAR?
There are three types of circuits in INDYCAR. They are the street course, road course and oval.
The Java House Grand Prix of Arlington is a street course.
How does qualifying work on a Street Course?
Street course qualifying is "European-Style" qualifying where the cars perform timed laps to see which driver is the quickest.
Who are the teams?
There are 11 full time teams in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. They are A.J. Foyt Racing, Andretti Global, Arrow McLaren, Chip Ganassi Racing, Dale Coyne racing, Ed Carpenter Racing, Juncos Hollinger Racing Meyer Shank Racing, Prema Racing, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Team Penske.
Who are the drivers in INDYCAR?

What is the difference in tire types?
There are two types of tires in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, they are the primary tire and the alternate tire.
The primary tire lasts longer, but is slower
The alternate tire does not last as long but is quicker than the primary tire.
Both tires must be used of the course of the Java House Grand Prix of Arlington.
What is a chassis?
The central body of the car, including the driver’s compartment. Also referred to as the “tub.”
Who makes the engines? What is a hybrid engine?
There are two engine manufacturers in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. They are Chevrolet and Honda.
In 2022, a hybrid engine was announced for the series to ensure sustainability.
