Coming off six top-10 finishes in the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Ed Carpenter Racing (ECR) driver Christian Rasmussen is quickly establishing himself as one of the sport’s rising talents. This week, the driver of the No. 21 Chevrolet stepped away from the racetrack and into the Arlington community — bringing holiday cheer to Globe Life Field as part of the 15th annual Texas Rangers Toy Drive.
On behalf of the Java House Grand Prix of Arlington, Rasmussen donated toys to support families in North Texas, spending the morning visiting neighborhood stores and thoughtfully selecting gifts for children in need. He personally delivered the donations to Globe Life Field, the home of the Texas Rangers, where outfielder and 2023 World Series Champion Evan Carter and his wife, Kaylen, welcomed him as the hosts of this year’s Toy Drive.
Each year, the Rangers Toy Drive invites fans to donate new, unwrapped toys in exchange for tickets to a Rangers home game, with all donations benefiting Mission Arlington–Mission Metroplex, a nonprofit dedicated to serving the local community.
“It’s always meaningful to support a cause like this,” Rasmussen said. “Being here ahead of the Java House Grand Prix of Arlington and getting to experience the city has been really special. Being able to give back while doing that makes it even better.”
The visit also marked Rasmussen’s first look at Arlington’s Entertainment District — the future stage for one of the most anticipated additions to the INDYCAR calendar. The 2.73-mile street circuit will reach speeds of more than 180 miles per hour, threading through the heart of the city and past iconic landmarks such as Globe Life Field and AT&T Stadium.
“The area looks incredible,” Rasmussen said. “I think it’s going to be an unforgettable experience for fans. You can really feel the energy here.”
With the Java House Grand Prix of Arlington marking INDYCAR’s first-ever race in the city, the event represents more than a new challenge for drivers — it signals a new partnership between world-class motorsports and the Arlington community.
“The area looks great,” Rasmussen said. “I think it’s going to be a great experience for the fans when they come out here to see the race.”
Rasmussen enters his third full season in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2026 after an impressive 2025 campaign. Fans can catch Rasmussen and the rest of the INDYCAR field at the inaugural Java House Grand Prix of Arlington, March 13–15. Tickets are on sale now at gparlington.com.
